Studio Policies
Every detail of the Moon Bloom experience has been thoughtfully designed to ensure a seamless, enjoyable, and stress-free journey from your initial inquiry to the delivery of your final gallery. The following policies are intended to create clear expectations, protect both client and photographer, and allow every session to unfold with care, professionalism, and intention.
Communication
At Moon Bloom Photography, providing a thoughtful and seamless client experience is a priority. All inquiries and communication are handled with care and attention during regular business hours.

Messages are typically responded to within 1–2 business days. Please note that response times may vary during weekends, holidays, and peak wedding seasons as time is dedicated to serving current clients and creating your final artwork.

Booking & Reservation
Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are confirmed only after a signed photography agreement and the required retainer have been received.Your date is not reserved until both have been completed. The remaining balance is due prior to your scheduled session or wedding date, as outlined in your agreement.
Payment
Moon Bloom Photography accepts debit, ACH bank transfers, and other approved electronic payment methods. Payment schedules are outlined within your photography agreement. Final payment is due prior to your scheduled session or wedding date. Payments not received by the due date may be subject to a late fee and could result in the postponement or cancellation of services. Applicable sales tax will be applied in accordance with South Carolina law.
A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session or wedding date. The remaining balance is due prior to your scheduled session or wedding date, as outlined in your photography agreement.
Rescheduling & Cancellation
The comfort and safety of everyone involved are always a priority. Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled due to severe weather or other conditions that could impact the quality of your experience.
If you or a member of your party becomes ill, please notify Moon Bloom Photography as soon as possible so we can discuss rescheduling options. Emergency rescheduling requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Moon Bloom Photography also reserves the right to reschedule a session or wedding due to illness, emergency, unsafe conditions, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Every effort will be made to accommodate a new date as promptly as possible.
The 50% retainer is non-refundable, as it secures your date and reserves it exclusively for your celebration. Once your booking is confirmed, that date is no longer available to other clients.
Any payments made beyond the retainer are subject to the cancellation terms outlined in your photography agreement.
Arrival Time
To ensure a relaxed and seamless experience, clients are encouraged to arrive 10–15 minutes prior to their scheduled session time. This allows time for any final preparations before photography begins.
Please note that late arrivals may reduce the available shooting time, as sessions must remain on schedule. Significant delays may require rescheduling and may be subject to the terms outlined in your photography agreement.
Your time is thoughtfully reserved, and arriving promptly allows us to create the most intentional experience possible.
Children and Pets
Children and pets are always welcome at Moon Bloom Photography. We believe some of the most meaningful moments come from the genuine connection and joy they bring to your experience.
For sessions involving little ones, we recommend bringing snacks, comfort items, and any essentials that help your child feel relaxed and comfortable. If children are attending but are not being photographed for the entirety of the session, we encourage bringing another adult who can assist when needed.
Pets are welcome when discussed prior to your session and must remain leashed unless otherwise approved. Please let us know ahead of time so we can plan for a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

While client preferences, inspiration, and meaningful details are always welcomed, Moon Bloom Photography maintains creative discretion regarding composition, lighting, posing, editing, and overall artistic direction. These elements allow us to create cohesive imagery that reflects the signature style and quality associated with the Moon Bloom experience.
Photography is an art form, and each gallery is uniquely crafted to preserve the genuine emotion, atmosphere, and beauty of your story. We are honored to create images that feel authentic, refined, and true to the moments we are entrusted to document.
Image Retouching
Every image delivered by Moon Bloom Photography is thoughtfully edited to reflect our signature style and preserve the authenticity of your story. Our editing process includes careful color correction, exposure adjustments, and natural skin refinement to create polished, timeless imagery.
Standard retouching includes:
- Color correction and tonal adjustments
- Exposure refinement
- Natural skin smoothing and refinement
- Removal of temporary blemishes
Requests beyond standard retouching may require an additional fee and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Extensive alterations, including body reshaping, significant object removal, or facial reconstruction, are not included in the standard editing process.
Our goal is to enhance the beauty already present while maintaining the genuine emotion and integrity of each moment captured.
Session Expectations
Your experience with Moon Bloom Photography is designed to feel effortless, natural, and enjoyable. You do not need to arrive knowing how to pose or what to do in front of the camera. I will provide thoughtful direction and guidance throughout your session.
Trusting the process allows space for genuine moments to unfold. While intentional posing and artistic direction are part of the experience, I also encourage natural interaction, movement, and authentic connection to create imagery that feels true to you.
The most meaningful photographs often come from the moments in between: the laughter, quiet gestures, and genuine emotions that cannot be recreated.
Force Majeure
Moon Bloom Photography understands that unforeseen circumstances may arise beyond anyone’s control. In the event of circumstances including natural disasters, government restrictions, venue closures, severe illness, or other situations that prevent services from being safely performed, every effort will be made to find a thoughtful solution.
If circumstances outside of Moon Bloom Photography’s reasonable control affect your scheduled session or wedding coverage, services may be rescheduled, modified, or otherwise addressed according to the terms outlined in your photography agreement.
The safety and well-being of our clients, guests, and creative team will always remain the highest priority.
